Role Overview
We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Cashier to manage all cash transactions accurately and efficiently. The successful candidate will provide excellent customer service, handle payments securely, and maintain a professional appearance.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and process payments via cash, card, or mobile money accurately.
- Issue receipts, refunds, or change and ensure all transactions are recorded correctly.
- Balance the cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cashier desk or counter.
- Answer customer inquiries politely and provide information on products/services.
- Reconcile daily sales reports and hand over cash securely as per company procedures.
- Adhere to company policies, cash handling procedures, and security standards.
- Previous experience as a Cashier, Teller, or in a customer-facing role is an advantage.
- Basic math and computer skills with attention to detail.
- Honest, trustworthy, and able to handle cash responsibly.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Fluent in spoken and written English (preferred as per client).
- Well-groomed appearance and professional demeanor.
- Ability to work under pressure and multitask in a busy environment.
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
