Job Title: Transactional Sales Manager
Location: Tanzania
Job Type: Full-time
Reports To: Head of Transactional Banking

Job Summary

The Transactional Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth through the sale of cash management and transaction banking solutions to corporate clients. The role focuses on winning new mandates, expanding existing relationships, and maintaining sustainable income streams by building strong long-term client relationships in partnership with the Coverage team.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Service (70%)
  • Acquire new corporate clients and maintain key relationships.
  • Design and implement bespoke cash management solutions in collaboration with product teams.
  • Negotiate commercial terms and achieve annual sales targets.
  • Resolve technical cash management queries independently.
  • Facilitate product innovation and market responsiveness.
  • Report on sales volumes, revenue, and opportunities.
Product & Customer Management (20%)
  • Ensure adherence to product pricing and periodic reviews.
  • Provide after-sales support and client training.
  • Monitor competitor trends and provide specialist support internally.
  • Contribute to product development and enhancements.
Business Management (10%)
  • Coordinate strategies with Corporate Banking coverage teams.
  • Monitor monthly product sales performance and define personal performance objectives.
Risk & Controls
  • Apply applicable risk frameworks and maintain a strong risk culture.
  • Adhere to bank policies and procedures, proactively mitigating risks.
  • Report risk events and suggest improvements to control processes.

Technical Skills / Competencies

  • Corporate cash management and transaction banking expertise.
  • Client engagement, solution-selling, and negotiation skills.
  • Familiarity with digital banking platforms, APIs, and fintech solutions.
  • Strong leadership, commercial acumen, and team development experience.
  • Performance-driven, customer-focused, and self-motivated.

Education & Experience

Education:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma in Business, Commerce, or Management Studies.
Experience:
  • Proven experience in corporate banking, cash management, or transactional products.
  • Product development, sales, client relationship management, or operations experience is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of AML/Sanctions, electronic banking platforms, and payment/collections services.
Training (Preferred):
  • Advanced Product Training – Transactional Products
  • Customer Relationship Management
  • Certificate in International Cash Management (CertICM)
  • Sales and Negotiation Training
